Why specialism matters

sh-translation was founded in 2012 on a simple premise: quality translation requires linguists who master both the language and the subject area. A legal translator needs to understand law. A technical translator needs to understand engineering. Language competence alone is not enough.

We built a network of linguists specialised by field: legal, technical, literary, multimedia, and software. Every project is matched to the right specialist, not the available one.

Our location

We are in Vila Nova de Famalicao in northern Portugal, a region with a strong industrial and export base. Many of our clients are manufacturers and exporters who need technical and commercial documentation in multiple European markets.

All services are delivered digitally.

We work with clients in Portugal, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, and the UK. Geographic location is not a constraint.
