Build a packageOur core pairs are Portuguese into English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, and Italian, plus the reverse directions. For other European languages including Polish, Czech, Romanian, Swedish, and Norwegian, we work with specialist partners who are vetted to the same standard as our in-house team. For non-European languages including Mandarin, Japanese, Arabic, and Brazilian Portuguese, please contact us to confirm availability for your specific combination.
A sworn translation is a legally certified document where the translator signs a declaration confirming the translation is accurate and complete. This is required for official purposes such as court submissions, immigration applications, notarised contracts, and academic credential recognition. sh-translation provides sworn translations for all core language pairs through licensed sworn translators.
All translators working with sh-translation are native speakers of the target language with at least five years of professional translation experience in their specialist area. Legal translators hold relevant legal qualifications or have worked within legal practices. Technical translators hold engineering or scientific qualifications in the relevant field. Literary translators are assessed on published translation samples.
A standard project of 2,000 to 5,000 words takes between 3 and 7 business days. Larger projects are timed by component: we translate in parallel when the project structure allows it. Rush turnaround is available at a 60% surcharge and covers most projects under 3,000 words within 24 to 48 hours. We confirm the exact timeline at the quotation stage before any work begins.
We accept Word, PDF, InDesign, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, XML, JSON strings, and most subtitle formats including SRT, VTT, and TTML. We deliver in the same format as the original plus a PDF. For complex DTP work including annual reports and catalogues, we offer typesetting in the target language as an add-on service.
